Woodland crown
As the door of Ruby's class opened yesterday at home time, all her class came running out with the most amazing woodland crowns on their head - it was one of those moments when I wished I had a camera as it would have made a brilliant picture. The crowns were just inspirational - a painted walnut shell lady bird, a cork deer, leaves, bark and little bits of wood shavings all glued on - the past terms theme "woodland" displayed on a brilliant crown. We are very lucky that Ruby has such a good teacher with such creativity and patience with the kids - it was one of the reasons we sent her to this school as her teachers’ reputation was second to none.
Ruby woke this morning with a burning temperature and streaming nose and sneezes that you don’t want to be in the firing line! A slow morning playing with the crown, feeding their babies and reading some stories. With the animals and kids fed Ruby and Rivan both took a good afternoon sleep. Ruby very reluctant to get out of bed and finally did about 40 minutes after being woken. The sun made an appearance this afternoon so we all went outside and played in the back garden, experimenting with ice and playing in their house while I managed to get a little pruning done. Birthday cards, sticking and playdoh ended the afternoon while I cooked dinner and an early night for everyone and lots of get better kisses.
