At last - saved from the pot!

At last our ladies are safe from the pot - having asked our fiends who bought new chickens the same time as us, whether their hens were laying - which they were (thanks for the eggs Corrie) I had a talking to the ladies and said that I had to buy eggs again this week and this was not good enough (secretly I thought if I bought lots of eggs they were bound to start laying soon);

This morning we found not 1, not 2 but 3 eggs in the laying boxes - three different sizes - thank you ladies and enjoy your happy days in the veg garden - you are now safe!

I am thinking in a positive way that they each laid an egg - the largest egg from our old faithful chicken and the two smaller ones from the new ones - we will see what the laying box holds for us today…..

Do you reckon that's one each or one with three attempts till the perfect size was reached or one bullied by the other two into laying 3 to save them all?
