Off to the beach

Our holiday is rushing by so fast - Wednesday already and we have been blessed with wall to wall sunshine - we could not ask for better!

With cake and a flask packed we headed down to the "beach" - a man made lake with stunning views - the last time we were down here was in October and it was just me and the kids as mum had gone off to get the camper van fixed.  This afternoon we enjoyed watching the kids feel the sand between their feet and play in the lake whilst we sat and had some mother and daughter time.  I could have stayed there for much longer but hunger and tiredness would set in soon so we departed promising to come back again.  

We even managed to get Juno in the water this time - it is amazing what a stick and a little girl can do to get a dog who does not do water into the lake.

Have not been up to our lake for a while but planning a picnic on Thursday so will let you know, usually there is not any algae until the end of the summer but it has been so hot and so little rain for April – fingers crossed that it will be clean.

I love the toes picture and Ruby throwing the stick. That swimsuit really suits her! That sandy lake looks just perfect for their age (and ours!)
