He is a mean killing machine
He may be getting on a bit and drives us nuts - you know this when your kids start saying "Moofa you are driving me nuts - in, out, in out…' but he does earn his keep as well as being an extremely handsome ginger cat!!! He is pretty good at hunting as we often find the remains of mice and rats out in the back garden most mornings and last week I saw him with a baby rabbit. This was pleasing as I had spotted a couple of babies in my veg garden and our neighbour had said that he had put electric fencing up to keep the rabbits out - so Moofa was helping with the gardening too.
This morning he was happily tucking into another baby rabbit in the back garden so I called the kids out to see the master at work. They watched with fascination as he crunched his way through the ears and head (sorry for those of you who are squeamish) and continued to feast on his catch as we sat and watched him. When he had finished we all gave him a stroke and he purred with delight.
Another fun afternoon spent with friends, paint, glitter and home made biscuits (thanks Corrie) and a wonderful two hour horse ride for me to see the end to a beautiful day.
