Cooling off

 
Popped into work to catch up with everyone this morning and there was an air of uncertainly about the girls - head office has been running the office for nearly 3 years now looking for a  new agent to buy the franchise.  A new agent is going to be taking over as from 1st January 2012 which on the surface is good news but they will drastically be looking to reduce staff - from 6 (if I include myself) down to 2 spread across the two offices.   I will
have to wait and see what the new agent has to say and then take it from there but sadly when I go to re-take my post up in June it could be that I am looking at redundancy - however there is no point worrying about this now - one door closes and another will open, I will enjoy the rest of my leave and deal with what ever comes my way next year.

Kids both had a good day and had fun cooling off as I got dinner ready for everyone - who would have thought that you could have so much fun getting your clothes wet!

Yeh I am sure everything will work out – I should be entitled to a redundancy pay and then benefit until I can find another job… I will keep thinking positive and wait and see what the New Year brings!

I did see that comment about puddle jumping and thought what a lost opportunity. I still remember that day you were over last year (I think or was it the year before that) and we all went walking and the kids came back with wellies full of water – some great photo opportunities and also so much fun for the kids.

I'm sure it will turn out for the best. You will be entitled to "indemnités" right? Might allow you to stay home the summer while looking for another job that you might end up being happier with.

getting wet, have you read my inlaw comment about how things have changed from how they used to be and that in her time they used to smack kids who jumped into puddles. I advised her to try it once (jumping that is) I do believe it is a great therapy for being happy too. My mum probably shared her beliefs as I do not remember even having wellies not getting wet from puddle splashing.
