2+2=4

 
Early start this morning - although no school, a friend of Ruby's and her brother came round for the day - their mother was working today and rather than pay for a nanny I said that they could come and play here for the day so at 7.45am the door opened and two very excited kids entered.  They could not wait to get on the trampoline
so after a quick breakfast everyone dashed outside.  Did they notice that it was raining - did they heck - off with the clothes an on with the jumping!  We all dined in the tent and then I asked Rivan if he wanted a sleep - immediate response "no", then two minutes later he came to be and said 'bed'!  More jumping in the afternoon and playing tractors, cooking and anything else that they could think of - thank goodness for the tent - this has been such a good investment!  The day passed pretty well, very few tears or arguments - having 4 here was a lot of work in some ways but they also entertained themselves.  Rivan was delighted with the selection of tractors and cars that had arrived for the day and the girls enjoyed dressing up (as did the boys) and being princesses for a
while.  A little later than anticipated their mother arrived to collect them after a very long day at work and then
there were just our 2 tired kids ready for a shower, story and bed and mum ready for a glass of wine!

If I lived nearer I would say let them come but it is too far for either of us – what have you got on? What time does the garderie finish, are they able to stay there – sorry….?
