All that a girl could want - a new wardrobe!

D-day has arrived and the start of rapid movement upstairs.  Ben has worked so hard getting everything ready for today - working long days and well into the evening doing everything from electrics to taking apart the fire, making modifications to enhance its performance and generally working his but off to get things done and we thank him for this!!!!

A job that has been on my to do list has been sorting out the bags of clothes that we have been given for
both Ruby and Rivan.  So today I bit the bullet and got the bags (and I mean bags) of clothes down from the loft and started to sort them out.  Rivan quite happy riding around on the motorbike that we recently borrowed from the toy library - he is now a very happy boy and if his bed were big enough he would sleep with it too, whilst I sorted out his clothes.  There are two of these bikes at crèche and he is always on one when I go to collect him so he was delighted that it had been returned when we visited the toy library last week.  I actually think he will be riding a bike without stabilisers before Ruby - we just need to find him a bike!

While Rivan slept Ruby and I sorted out all of her clothes and she has an entire new wardrobe with lots of
suitable pink dresses and floaty skirts.  I now just have a pile of washing to do to freshen up all the clothes - fingers crossed that the good weather continues.  The kids and I then enjoyed the sunshine, feeding the animals and Rivan loving an opportunity to take his red bike down the road - and he is pretty nippy!  Ruby then wanted to try on her many pairs of sunglasses, dress and a new bikini that she is very proud to have - she got very upset when she peed on it whilst out in the vegetable garden - but promptly told me that I could wash them tonight
for her!

Ben and the builder cracked on with upstairs and began by cutting out a great big hole in the chimney upstairs - making lots of noise and Rivan got a bit freaked out by it all but I gently told him that they had to make noise to make room for the fire and he was not to be scared.  Along the way they found not just a wasp nest, but also a hornet nest up the chimney so Ben came down and told me to keep the kids inside - they were going to smoke
the buggers out, rather them than me!  As I sit here updating the blog Ben is upstairs clearing up the rubble from the chimney and getting ready for the week ahead.

On a final note Dave (our visiting rat who has slowly been destroying the insulation around our under floor heating pipes) finally ate too much rat poison and went off to rat heaven leaving his corpse on the garage floor - thank god as he was costing us a fortune in peanut butter on traps, chocolate on traps, a rat cage and finally rat poison - farewell Dave!

It is a great bike, I looked on the wesco site and it is pretty expensive - you can see it is well used from all the scuff marks too. The pink castle is a good way of hiding grey plasterboard! Very exciting couple of months coming up - in fact from now until the end of the year is going to be amazing!

Can't let MAx see that bike, he's mad for it and keeps asking where it is! A big hit among boys. I love the pink castle as decoration! Exciting two weeks coming up for you now!!
