Rare breeds

Already the second week into the school holidays - the weather has turned cold again, it has been windy but sunny today so a great day for drying some washing. All the visitors have departed now in Goumas (those with holiday homes who arrive in the holidays)...

Bedding day

Who said that housework was no fun ? I used to keep all the household chores to do on the days that the kids were at school or crèche but then I wanted to do other things (work in the garden, horse riding etc) so now we all do the jobs together – it takes...

Moules et frites

Tonight is the local moules et frites night that the parents association at the school have organised and I have volunteered to help out. With about 160 people coming to enjoy an evening of food and dancing I was slightly apprehensive about going down...

How high can they go?

Tried making tiny chocolate muffins with my new silicone moulds and was delighted with the results. As the kids ate their lunch I did magic with my pink food colouring and turned white water icing into pink Icing right before their eyes! Ruby was impressed...

On the head girl!

Thursday already - where has the week gone and I can't believe that it is half term tomorrow! Spent a lovely morning with Rivan getting animal feed and looking round a garden centre - it did not take him long to find the toy tractors and want to open...

Book library this afternoon, with the promise that if they are well behaved then they will be rewarded with a run around the playground which is nearby. Loaded up into the car, Ruby full of energy today and seems to have lots of cotton wool in her ears!...

Day at home with mum

I foolishly called the crèche yesterday to see if they would administer Rivan's antibiotics and they flatly said no and that he should not be at crèche if he had a chest infection. So a day at home with me - it was actually really nice to spend the day...
